ThaiGP 2025 tickets go on sale worldwide on 9 January ahead of Thailand's first MotoGP season opener

The Sports Authority of Thailand announced a ticket launch for 14:00 on 9 January 2025, ahead of Thailand’s pre-season test and season-opening race in February. The SAT Governor expected strong demand as Thai fans prepared to support their home rider.

Thailand's Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Sports Authority of Thailand and public and private partners announced a press conference and official ticket sales for Thursday, 9 January 2025. PT Grand Prix of Thailand 2025 was scheduled to open the season on 28 February–2 March at Chang International Circuit in Buriram.

Dr Gongsak Yodmani, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand, said Thailand's selection to open the 2025 MotoGP season reflected its event-management capabilities and the strength of Thai Power: sport, culture, tourism and economic development working together. He recalled the inaugural 2018 race, which won the best-event award and drew 222,535 spectators over three days. In 2019, attendance rose to 226,655, the highest of any MotoGP round that season. Those achievements helped establish Thailand's international reputation over five years of hosting.

Organisers expected the 2025 pre-season test and opening round in Thailand to attract worldwide attention as riders debuted new motorcycles, technology and team line-ups. Somkiat Chantra’s move to MotoGP as the first Thai rider in the premier class added particular significance for Thai fans.

The speaker expected strong ticket demand and grandstands to fill quickly, citing the circuit’s viewing experience and a three-day programme of racing, concerts, Muay Thai, shopping and food as reasons for the event’s popularity.

Dorna Sports also planned the MotoGP 2025 season launch in Bangkok on 9 February, introducing the riders, teams and race bikes. Pre-season testing followed at Chang International Circuit on 12–13 February, before the Thailand Grand Prix on 28 February–2 March 2025.

MotoGP 2025 tickets went on sale at 14:00 on Thursday, 9 January 2025, through Counter Service All Ticket at 7-Eleven stores nationwide and online at allticket.com. Updates were published on the Chang Circuit Buriram Facebook page.
