Thailand's public and private partners confirmed preparations for PT Grand Prix of Thailand 2024 and unveiled the Throne of the King of Speed trophy. Its contemporary Thai design incorporated Phanom Rung imagery, motorcycle parts and a wai greeting symbol. The Thai Thai Pavilion was another highlight planned for 25–27 October in Buriram, showcasing local culture to MotoGP's international audience of more than 800 million.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Sports Authority of Thailand announced preparations for PT Grand Prix of Thailand 2024, scheduled for 25–27 October at Chang International Circuit in Buriram.

On 30 September 2024, SAT Governor Dr Gongsak Yodmani led the announcement at Rajpruek Club in Bangkok. Participants included Buriram Province, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Department of Land Transport, PTG Energy, Thai Beverage and Chang natural mineral water, Thai Honda, Thai Yamaha Motor and Motore Italiano (Ducati Thailand), alongside presenters, media and other sponsors.

The ThaiGP 2024 trophy followed the theme Throne of the King of Speed, combining contemporary Thai design with Phanom Rung sanctuary imagery. A wai greeting at its centre symbolised welcome and respect, alongside the Thai numeral one. Motorcycle components, including a nut and five aluminium frames, represented the event's fifth edition. Gold and black conveyed prestige, strength and elegance.

SAT Governor Dr Gongsak Yodmani described MotoGP, with a reported global audience of more than 800 million, as Thailand's largest international sporting event. He said it provided an opportunity to demonstrate Thai event-management standards and support the development of the country's sports and motorsport industries.

With less than a month to go, the speaker said central and provincial agencies, private businesses and local communities were coordinating preparations for a smooth and memorable race weekend. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports aimed to use the event to attract visitors and support economic activity across related industries.

PTG's Rangsun Puangprang said Thailand's fifth MotoGP event marked the company's first year as title sponsor under a three-year commitment. Alongside its business objectives, PTG aimed to showcase Thailand internationally, support tourism and encourage spending in Buriram and neighbouring provinces.

PTG invited fans to its pavilion for activities, prizes and offers from PT Station, PT Maxnitron, Autobacs, Punthai Coffee, Coffee World and Max Card Plus. The programme included Hero Walk and meet-and-greet sessions with riders from MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3, offering opportunities for photographs and autographs.

Chang's sports representative said ThaiGP's motorsport-festival atmosphere had received strong praise alongside the racing. Chang House offered an air-conditioned viewing tent with live bands and DJs, with Chang natural mineral water available throughout the day.

Chang Music Connection's three-day programme featured YOUNGOHM and Kong Huai Rai on Friday, 25 October. Saturday, 26 October, combined seven Muay Thai bouts—including Yodkatanyu Jitmuangnon against Phetsaman Sor Samarn Garment—with a concert by Jaa Nongpanee. JSPKK closed the weekend on Sunday, 27 October. Hundreds of Shuttle Taen vehicles provided free transfers for spectators through Chang Shuttle Station.

Chotchanok Chidchob said the circuit's year-round international programme required it to maintain FIM and FIA standards for the surface, staff and facilities. Three additional Misano-style kerb sections at Turns 1, 5 and 8, following one added the previous year, were expected to add another dimension to the racing.

The event also introduced the Thai Thai Pavilion, showcasing Thai art, crafts, food and locally made souvenirs. Buriram Province coordinated transport, security, volunteers and accommodation to welcome visiting fans and help them enjoy the race weekend.

Thai fans could support both their international favourites and Somkiat Chantra at his final home Moto2 appearance before his move to MotoGP in 2025. His promotion made him the first Thai rider to compete in the premier class.

PT Grand Prix of Thailand 2024 Expo ran for three days from 09:00 to 20:00 in front of Chang International Circuit. Pavilions and shops featured PTG Energy, Chang natural mineral water, Honda, Yamaha, Toyota, Ducati and the Department of Land Transport's road-safety fund. The new Thai Thai Pavilion showcased Thai culture, products and food from Buriram and other provinces. Entry was free with any race ticket; separate admission cost THB 100 per day or THB 200 for all three days.

Race tickets were available through Counter Service All Ticket at 7-Eleven stores nationwide. Separate ADMISSION tickets were sold only at the event's All Ticket booth on 25–27 October. Updates were published on the Chang Circuit Buriram Facebook page.
