The Ministry of Tourism and Sports announced preparations and ticket sales for Thailand's 18th MotoGP round, introducing PTG Energy as the new title sponsor. Known for PT stations, PT Maxnitron lubricants, Punthai Coffee, Coffee World and Autobacs, PTG supported PT Grand Prix of Thailand 2024 on 25–27 October at Chang International Circuit. The event aimed to combine international racing with Thai culture for an audience of 800 million across more than 200 countries. Grandstand tickets sold out in 3 minutes 12 seconds.

On 18 June 2024, Assistant Tourism and Sports Minister Phonpoom chaired the announcement at the Sports Authority of Thailand in Bangkok. Public and private partners included SAT, Buriram Province, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Department of Land Transport, PTG Energy, Chang natural mineral water, Thai Honda, Thai Yamaha Motor, Motore Italiano (Ducati Thailand) and Chang International Circuit, alongside hundreds of media and supporters.

Ticket sales opened earlier than in previous years, with revised seating categories designed to distribute spectators around the circuit. Additional prize activities and souvenirs were announced. Grandstand seats sold out in 3 minutes 12 seconds.

Assistant Tourism and Sports Minister Phonpoom said four years of MotoGP had successfully established a distinctive Thai event. By combining sport with local art and culture, the organisers aimed to give visitors a valuable experience and make Thailand a destination that motorsport fans wanted to visit.

The speaker described the ThaiGP as a major sport tourism event, citing 179,811 spectators at the previous edition, an 11% increase in international visitors and more than THB 4.493 billion in economic activity through travel, accommodation, food, drinks and souvenir spending.

SAT Governor Dr Gongsak Yodmani said strong interest had prompted earlier ticket sales, while the event's high standards made preparations increasingly demanding. He emphasised athlete development, recalling Somkiat Chantra's Moto2 success and the pride it brought Thailand. That season, Somkiat in Moto2 and Thatchakorn Buasri in Moto3 represented the country throughout the championship.

Buriram Governor Naruecha Kosasivilize said the previous MotoGP had created more than 6,426 local jobs and supported spending across Buriram and neighbouring provinces. Preparations for the next event aimed to welcome over 200,000 riders, team members, media and fans across three days. The province's distinctive Shuttle Taen service would again showcase local agricultural ingenuity to international visitors.

Dorna Sports' Ferran Junga welcomed PTG Energy as ThaiGP's title sponsor and looked forward to developing the partnership. He expected the Buriram event to deliver close racing and an extensive activity programme for spectators.

PTG's Rangsun Puangprang said the company was proud to support ThaiGP for three years, from 2024 to 2026. PT Max Card Plus members could receive a 25% ticket discount by presenting their card, while PT Max Card Prestige and PT Max Card members could receive 20% at the sales counter. PT stations and group businesses, including Punthai Coffee, Coffee World and Autobacs, also prepared race-weekend activities.

ThaiGP 2024 three-day tickets included Grandstand at THB 5,000, or THB 3,750 with the maximum 25% discount; Side Stand at THB 2,000, reduced to THB 1,500 with that discount; and Rider Stand at THB 3,000, or THB 2,250 after the maximum discount. Rider Stand sections supported Marquez, Quartararo and Somkiat Chantra and included official rider souvenirs.

4. Brand Stands: the revised seating plan offered dedicated areas for motorcycle brand supporters, with sponsor gifts and prize draws. Honda Stand and Yamaha Stand tickets were THB 2,000, reduced to THB 1,500 with an eligible 25% discount. Ducati Stand tickets were THB 2,000, reduced to THB 1,600 with an eligible 20% discount. These were the prices and offers published for the event.

PT Grand Prix of Thailand 2024 offered ticket discounts alongside its racing and entertainment programme. PT Max Card Plus members could receive 25%, while PT Max Card Prestige and PT Max Card holders could receive 20%. Other sponsor benefits included Chang International Circuit Friend Club and motorcycle-key offers from Honda, Yamaha and Ducati; Ducati's 20% discount applied only to the Ducati Stand. Only one discount could be used per purchase.

Yamaha Stand ticket holders could enter a draw to win one 2024 Yamaha R15M Connected-ABS, valued at THB 138,000. Details were available at www.yamaha-motor.co.th. Honda Stand tickets included a cheering kit worth more than THB 800, containing a Somkiat collection T-shirt, cap, bag, inflatable cheering sticks and fan. Ducati Stand tickets included a THB 500 fan kit with a Ducati cap, Ducati Tribuna lanyard and inflatable cheering sticks.
