The Sports Authority of Thailand and its private-sector partners met to finalise preparations for Thailand's MotoGP round. The commercial and fan areas were a particular focus, following strong praise from spectators for their scale, entertainment and range of activities. Buriram brought relevant agencies and the media together to discuss how to improve the event and showcase the province's identity. The organisers projected more than THB 5 billion in economic activity.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Sports Authority of Thailand met to coordinate PT Grand Prix of Thailand 2024, MotoGP's 18th round, scheduled for 25–27 October at Chang International Circuit. Deputy Governor for Professional Sports and Boxing Preecha led the meeting with public and private partners, sponsors and shop operators.

SAT Deputy Governor Preecha said PT Grand Prix of Thailand 2024 demonstrated Thailand's ability to organise international racing while creating a memorable image through its distinctive Thai cultural programme.

Organisers welcomed PTG Energy as title sponsor and outlined three days of racing and entertainment. The Welcome Area and Commercial Area brought together the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Department of Transport, PTG Energy, Chang Natural Mineral Water, Honda, Yamaha, Toyota, Ducati and other exhibitors and retailers. They highlighted the activity area as a distinctive part of the ThaiGP experience.

Buriram hosted a MotoGP 2024 preparation seminar at Chang Arena. Governor Naruecha Kosasivilize and Buriram United Executive Chairman Newin Chidchob led the discussion of local arrangements.

The meeting agreed to build on the event's most popular features and use feedback from residents and visitors to address shortcomings. The organisers also aimed to present Buriram's identity and local culture more prominently.

The Buriram Standard brought central and provincial agencies together to prepare a world-class event. Plans covered accommodation, food, medical services, transport, security, traffic, the venue, utilities, communications, cleanliness, hospitality and exhibitions, with volunteers stationed at key points to assist visitors.

The organisers expected attendance to exceed previous editions and aimed to spread the benefits to local communities, forecasting economic activity of up to THB 5 billion.
